Following lists drift because every follow is easy and reconsidering thousands of them is hard. Follow Curator separates observation, judgment, and action so a scan can never silently become an unfollow.
Scan a local snapshot
The extension reads normalized profile information available to your current signed-in X session. Session headers stay inside the X page and are never stored or sent to Follow Curator.
Separate evidence from judgment
Activity, follow-back status, bio, and account counts provide context. None of them decides for you. Keep, Later, and Unfollow are explicit local decisions.
Freeze an exact manifest
Before anything changes, you inspect the precise accounts selected for removal. Apply advances one approved account at a time and pauses on rejection, rate limits, mismatches, or ambiguous results.
Measure the product, not your graph
Optional usage analytics use a random installation ID, count ranges, and Keep/Later/Unfollow categories. They never include the account you acted on, handles, profiles, search text, or your Following list. Switch them off in the extension popup.
Most tools optimize the click. We optimize the decision.

Using Follow Curator with X
X’s automation rules prohibit scripting its website and warn that this can lead to permanent account suspension. Follow Curator uses your signed-in web session. Local storage, approval, and pacing do not remove that platform risk. Early access is experimental.

Is this a bulk-unfollow bot?
No. It is a review tool. You choose Keep, Later, or Unfollow for individual accounts, then approve the final queue.
Does Follow Curator need my X password?
No. It works with the X session already open in your browser. Follow Curator never asks for or stores your password.
Where does the scan go?
Into local browser storage on your device. You can export or delete it from the extension.
Do I stay in control?
Yes. Keep, Later, and Unfollow save your choices locally. You review the exact list and approve it before any unfollows run. You can pause a run and return to the remaining accounts later.
